The Getaway offers a private Bed and Breakfast studio in peaceful, secluded Goolwa North.
The studio at this bed and breakfast is fully air-conditioned and has its own private lounge with flat screen TV, cosy sofa and dining area. Outside you have your own intimate courtyard and deck area for sunlit continental breakfasts or sunset contemplation.
Historic Victor Harbor and the famous wine regions of South Australia’s
Southern Vales are an easy drive away.
It is your home away from home bed & breakfast with a unique artistic experience.
Why not do something different while you stay with us and have fun exploring your creative side by doing a workshop in sterling silver jewellery, pottery or photography.
The Getaway Experience
Have fun exploring everything the Fleurieu peninsula has to offer. Take a boat trip on the river, take the Cockle Train or just enjoy Goolwa Beach for the day. Then return to Gumnut Getaway and relax in quiet peaceful surroundings inside or outside in your own private courtyard.
The Jewellery Experience
Have fun designing your own pendant and carving a cuttlebone to create a mold. Then watch as the instructor pours molten silver into your mold to create the unique pendant you designed. Relax in the B&B at the end of the day.
The Photography Experience
Play with your DSLR camera and discover it's potential. Use our equipped studio to take portraits or explore picturesque Goolwa for that perfect on location photo. This one day workshop will get you out of manual settings. Unwind in the B&B at the end of the day.
The Clay Experience
Memories of forgotten childhood fun will fill your mind when you start getting your hands dirty with clay. Try hand building, wheel throwing and other techniques. Then marvel at your accomplishments while you relax in the B&B at the end of the day.
